New case studies
This is your opportunity to showcase your school's work to other schools, and to learn from other schools' partnerships. We will be updating this site regularly with new case studies, and welcome all your examples of how your pupils are interacting with your partner school and using the French language across a variety of areas.

Westcliff High School for Girls and Lycée Polyvalent Rouviére, Toulon
Westcliff High School for Girls, in Southend, has science and engineering as specialist status. They joined Inter-Action in January 2009 and found that staff in their partner school had similar aspirations in the field of engineering, leading to a joint project to build two robotic telescopes.

Education Village, Darlington and Lycée Acajou in Martinique
Joining the Inter-Action programme in 2008, Education Village used one element of their wide ranging link with their partners on the Caribbean island of Martinique to bring an understanding of the wider world into the SEN classroom.

Connecting through CLIL
Grays Convent High School in Essex developed a successful partnership with Collège Claude Bernard in Paris. Their mutual appreciation of art led to a funded joint curriculum project based on the study of impressionist art through French and cultural exchanges.

Cross-curricular language learning
Tomlinscote School and Sixth Form College in Camberley, Surrey has worked successfully with Collèege Jules Valles, Le Puy-en-Velay, Haute Loire since 2005. Tomlinscote gained experience in teaching other curriculum subjects in foreign languages as part of a government funded CLIL project and is now continuing the initiative through its Inter-Action Partnership.
